Hideyoshi was first serialized in Japan in 1955 Biography novel books It tells the ups and downs of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's lifeYamaoka Zhuang eight was born in Japan in 1907 new diarrhea a small county town died in 1978 He left home at the age of 14 and started earning a living independently During World War II he wrote field reports war literature and other propaganda materials for the Japanese army These works were highly praised by the Japanese military and won many awards Representative works Oda Nobunaga Toyotomi Hideyoshi Tokugawa Ieyasu etcToyotomi Hideyoshi was born in 1537 in Nakamura Township Aichi County Owari Country the western part of Aichi Prefecture Japan He came from a poor peasant family originally a footman lower infantry and later rose to serve Oda Nobunaga After the change of Innoji Temple he won the internal struggle of the Oda clan and became the substantial successor of Oda Nobunaga In 1585 he served as Guan Bai euivalent to the prime minister in ancient ChinaLater served as the Minister of the Supreme Court similar to the Tang Dynasty in China was given the surname Toyotomi and later transferred the post of Guan Bai to his adopted son Toyotomi Hideji and called himself Tai Ge after the regent Guan Bai transferred the position Proprietary name the official name is Your Majesty which is the highest form of titles such as His Royal Highness and Your Excellency second only to Your Majesty representing the monarchPart of the catalog1 Volume One2 Volume Two3 Volume Five4 Volume VIToyotomi Hideyoshi was born to humble and before he became Oda Nobunaga's samurai he had only his nickname Hiyoshi Later Oda Nobunaga gave him the name Fujiyoshiro so he changed his name to Kinoshita Fujiyoshiro Nobunaga bestowed the name Hideyoshi after the battle of Ozazama Later Nobunaga took one word from the surnames of his two great ministers Niwa Nagahide and Shibata Katsushika and gave the surname Hashiba so he named Hashiba Hideyoshi Later Hideyoshi was given the surname Toyotomi by the Emperor and he became Guan Bai the first person of civilian origin Hideyoshi's father was a disabled samurai Since childhood the burden of life has been on his mother When Hideyoshi was seven his father died When he was eight his mother remarried The stepfather was not good at Hideyoshi's family mother older sister and herself Because of family difficulties Hideyoshi became a novice monk Later Hideyoshi left Guangming Temple and wandered around selling needles for a livingThere is no conclusion about how Hideyoshi became Nobunaga's retainer Yamaoka Shohachi wrote in the book Oda Nobunaga that Hideyoshi took advantage of Nobunaga's afternoon break at the tree to recommend himself And Hideyoshi Yoshikawa wrote in the book Toyotomi Hideyoshi that Hideyoshi took advantage of Nobunaga's simulated battle with his retainers by the river and risked his life to recommend himself and enter the Oda family to serveHideyoshi has not received a good education since childhood and is far incomparable with the second generation of officials such as Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu Because of malnutrition since childhood Hideyoshi's body was not very good The nickname Monkey lasted for a long time It was not until the death of Nobunaga that Hideyoshi's power increased day by day and no one dared to mention it again so his body and appearance can be seen If Oda Nobunaga the heir of Owari Ichigo is tall rich and handsome Hideyoshi is well deserved short and poor The former is the greatest nobleman in the latter's lifeAfter entering Oda's house Hideyoshi's identity is a domestic servant and his task is to help the lord carry shoes Later he was promoted to work in the kitchen and then promoted to Chai Carbon and Civil Engineering Finally he became a samurai and had 30 men Since then he has repeatedly made military exploits and his salary has gradually increased becoming one of Nobunaga's right hand menAfter the Mutiny of Innoji Temple Hideyoshi gradually subdued or defeated Nobunaga's former officials and other forces and made Tokugawa Ieyasu surrender to him At that time Japan was unified If Hideyoshi could stop in time and consolidate his position at this time Ieyasu might have nothing to do But Hideyoshi had the ambition to dominate Asia and made a plan first send troops to occupy North Korea today South Korea and North Korea occupy Ming Dynasty Ningbo then occupy Tianzhu now India and finally occupy the capital of the Ming Dynasty Beijing and welcome the Emperor to move the capital to BeijingThis battle fought from 1592 to 1598 and it did not end until Hideyoshi's death After Hideyoshi's death the Toyotomi Army concealed the news of Hideyoshi's death and signed a contract with the Ming Army In this battle the army headed by Toyotomi suffered a huge loss and the vitality of the famous names was greatly injured which paved the way for Tokugawa Ieyasu's aspiration to the Central Plains Like Nobunaga after Hideyoshi's death his hard working foundation in the southern and northern expeditions uickly fell apart in the hands of his heirs and was destroyed in one incident which is embarrassingI sometimes find a phenomenon very interesting after the European hegemony swept Europe he seemed to like to invade Russia and suffered major setbacks in Russia which in turn shaken the results he has achieved in Europe After unifying the country Japan seemed to like to unify Asia but it often fell into the uagmire of a war in ChinaAlthough the invaders are often forced to pay a huge price in blood they survived the war by prolonging the war and prolonging the front Although the aggressor has achieved a lot of success in the war it has caused considerable damage to its vitality for a long time causing disasters and internal instabilityAs a result it was either jointly strangled by other European countries or replaced by other forces within its own country that was ready to move Rarely can die well If the hegemons of Europe and Japan were able to make good relations with Russia or better with China and consolidate the country perhaps the history of today is very differentHideyoshi passed away on September 18 1598 About 300 years later the Sino Japanese War of 1894 1895 broke out The 1931 Nian 09 Yue 18 Ri in the Japanese Kwantung Army Arrangement railroad garrison blow up the South Manchurian railway tracks near Shenyang wicker Lake and frame blamed the Chinese military The Japanese used this as an excuse to bombard the Shenyang North Camp for the September 18 Incident This is in the calendar in the history of both historic and important points in time a really interesting coincidence at this timeBy the Hideyoshi declared war on mainland China I think of modern history It can be seen that even after 400 years Japan's willingness and determination to dominate Asia has never been eroded with time Such a firm from generation to generation heritage eternal ambition really awesome China has dozens of times as much territory as Japan and has several times as much force as Japan However not only does it have no overwhelming superiority in the war it has an irresistible decline It is worryingIf every country is a person in my mind Japan is the most worthy of fear and respect Chrysanthemum and Sword describe the national character of the Japanese and this seemingly contradictory opponent can't help but respond cautiously with the spirit of twelve points For nearly a hundred years since the Onin Rebellion wars have continued It is said that Western countries China in ancient times referred to the vassal countries near Kyoto in Japan now refers to the five prefectures of Okayama Hiroshima Yamaguchi Shimane and Tottori and the common people of Shikoku Food was robbed houses were burned and I was desperate for life and completely lost the enthusiasm for labor so I had to leave my hometown and wander eastward The Romance of the Three Kingdoms writes The general trend of the world divided for a long time must be united and for a long time must be divided In feudal society chaos and big government often alternating Once chaos or peace and order appear it will continue for decades even than a centuryThe war lasted for a hundred years Two or three generations of ordinary people abandoned themselves and lost their confidence in life The first person saw this situation and thought that this society was over The second and third generations saw this from the day they were born In the world they have never seen the beauty of peace morality and freedom so it is impossible to have any conscience Human sensibility has a keen side although sometimes it can create excellent culture it is always involuntary Earth restores its animal nature Destruction is less laborious than creation and sometimes destruction can bring greater joy than creation In terms of what is terrible nothing is terrible than the barbaric behavior of mobs who do not regard evil behavior as evil in troubled times From yesterday to today from today to tomorrow the endless destruction continues to expand and finally all people are destroyed Become a demon Not all of the people gathered here are wicked bad guys It cannot be said that they cannot survive without doing so They are poor group victims At the same time the facts also show that they have changed Has become an impulsive animal dehumanizing In peacetime normally ten thousand meters of stone can support approximately two hundred Wu ± but they are responsible for the suppression of thieves bad guys the people from harm Now the number of samurai has increased from 250 to 300 and recently it seems to have to hire about 400 to 500 Calculating 10000 shi meters for 500 people the average person is 20 shi Elder can you eat so much by yourself? Asshole Not exactly eating Including the purchase of weapons horses cattle work for the wife and children Kaijia clothing bows and arrows houses etc all expenses are paid from here It's definitely not enough If you don't have enough you will fight again you want to explanatory and you will fight again if you are not satisfied after the fight The vicious circle is endless It can be described as an invisible hell on earth Japanese guitar task is to Solomon in household kiln burning near pottery shipped to ManchuriaOf course the master and the second shopkeeper gently carry famous products The heavy pottery carried by Riyoshi's back and carts is all crude products Hiyoshi's body is getting weaker and weaker and it is difficult to stick to the work of three people Whether or shoulder to pull the car he no law like handling another three men to carry the pottery as before Nevertheless Hiyoshi still spared no effort to work hard That's it no matter how much it is I can't remember it said the assistant craftsman Not too much let's add Hiyoshi always gritted his teeth and tried to recite than others Hiyoshi was haggard due to overworkSome people saw him as dark and thin and instead of understanding him they called him a monkey No matter when people live on food the next thing is to build shelters from the wind and rain As for dressing chanting poems admiring paintings and repairing temples to make offerings to the Buddha these are all things to come later The industry is difficult to maintain It is living and tired of how can the extra effort and money are used in art and religion People are having a uniue biological Baozhang of the invisible This gives a Baozhang not only from external support but also within the command center of all action Life is an important pillar of Kingdoms Aspiration is an invisible intangible and uite a virtual thing It is also difficult for others to accurately determine what a person's true aspirations are But such an abstract thing is great value in It affects how a person uses his time energy and resources Also affect a person in the face of good times and adversity it will be how to react2017011520200426

This reads like a cross between a bad children's fable and a Tony Robbins infomercial What's worse Masao attempts to write in the voice of Hideoyoshi I was a naughty lad who detested school a conceit that utterly fails making this an even excruciating read Find a good historical biography if you want to learn from the life of Hideyoshi

Many many fictional stories about Sengoku Jidai forgot the presence of this political giant for the sake of Oda or Tokugawa In fact The Monkey as he was popularly called one of the most if not the most interesting figures during the chaotic era

As the last paragraph in the book says The secret is there is no secretAs a big fan of Japan loyalty culture dedication and way of leadership and business doing this book was indeed nothing new to meBut sometimes ideas that are presented through a story of a real person Toyotomi Hideyoshi who ended the Age of Wars and unified Japan stick better than a new age how to motivational bookIf you read some motivation books or books on how to be leaders chances are some of the ideas from them are already embedded within you but this book will give you a set of secrets through the story of a poor ugly Japanese kid who raised to become the Great Unifier of JapanEach idea presents a personal story through the eyes of Hideyoshi and includes none of the motivational stuff you can find in many new age booksIf you want to become a leader I highly recommend reading this book and then re reading once in a while the last chapters that summaries the Secrets of Hideyoshi

THIS BOOK IS NOT TOYOTOMI HIDEYOSHI'S BIOGRAPHY This book feels like a non fiction self development about leadership in form of light historical story about Hideyoshi and his journey One problem; the plot The timeline keep jumped around between before Nobunaga's death and after and before again Might confusing other reader which actually concern about Hideyoshi's life storyTake notes that not all that contains in this book is true where the first person perspective in this book obviously just to make readers comfortable with the content and obviously does not come out from Hideyoshi himself This book is basically Sun Tzu Art of War Story of Hideyoshi VersionBut overall I highly reccomend this book This book have that exciting and fun to read aspect to it It contained some life's lesson about leadership FROM KITAMI MASAO and how he poured it into this book is with by telling Hideyoshi's Life NOT ACTUALLY FROM HIDEYOSHI HIMSELF

For those who are interested in the history of Hideyoshi as told in a first person storytelling format with the sprinklings of “moral of the story” leadership maxims after each “episode” of his life this is your book I skimmed the book after about 30% in because it just wasn’t what I was looking for in a leadership book It did not provide the soul searching journey I was looking for

I tried to read books about the Japanese and luckily or unluckily? Have no idea I found a book in Gramedia biggest bookstore chain in Indonesia called Swordless Samurai It was written by Masao Kitami and edited by Tim Clark As you can read all over the internet the book was about leadership advices taken from Toyotomi Hideyoshi Toyotomi Hideyoshi was a peasant who becomes the supreme leader of Japan in 16 century You can see the official site hereBut this entry won’t be about the content of The Swordless Samurai but about the Indonesia version of this book One word for it awful Let me remind you it is not about the content of the book Undoubtedly the story about Hideyoshi waswhat would you call it? Inspiring and amazing but I won’t recommend the Indonesian version of this book Because the book sounds like kids diary a little scrapbook mumbling about ‘how good I am’ It was supposed to be motivational but end up like a messed up diary of an arrogant man So uh oh If you have trouble reading English like me but still want to know about Toyotomi Hideyoshi please read Taiko by Eiji Yoshikawa Both English and Indonesian versions of Taiko are goodI know that translating isn’t an easy task because there are some problems stem from ambiguity structural and lexical differences idioms and in my opinion there are just some words that cannot be translated appropriately whatsoever Further words are heavily depending on the context So a book translator should understand the whole story But despite of those difficulties isn’t a book should be reviewed or edited or whatever before being published? It was a shame that the magic of a marvellous book like Swordless Samurai lost in translationSo my recommendationif you want to read the Indonesian version and have rather long spare time go read Taiko by Eiji Yoshikawa it’s thick but if you mainly interested in the leadership advices of Toyotomi Hideyoshi please do me a favourread the English or Japanese version of The Swordless SamuraiCheersNidya Astrini

Generally I like this book these are several comments1 It like an autobiography rather than novel but it actually is It came from history of Japan Legendary Hero Hideyoshi Toyotomi It’s being told from first person perspective so it like Hideyoshi himself tells this wonderful story2 The story is not in chronological order but it’s based on the main theme of each chapter For example if the theme is about Hideyoshi trustworthy friend it tells all about them without considering when it’s taken This new style of storytelling makes me puzzled but also excited to reorder the puzzle into the chronological one The last appendix about Hideyoshi Chronological Year really helps me to understand whole story3 It has full advices about leadership Reading it seems like reading one of Maxwell’s books which is implemented in Samurai’s World Each advice is so meaningful and I almost can’t believe that Hideyoshi is such a wise man Even the worse part still seems wise for him4 It encourages me to re play game Samurai Warrior to review the story I find some other characters that are mentioned in this book that I also find in the game like Masamune Musashi Nobunaga Oda etc They are also great warrior and I would like to hear their stories5 The only one which can be compared to this book is the book about Romans of Three Kingdom Hideyoshi is like Zu Ge Liang in that bookOverall I will categorize it as one of book that is recommended to read
