    BIG book with lots of information I ve owned it for years but never really opened it Finally took a scan through it today as i was looking for specifics on portraiture Love how he s got lighting studio sketches for photo shoots and results pictures with captions that clearly articulate what the photo is representing Covers a broad list of topics, from film to composure to lighting Great refernce guide for any photographers library.

    It took me two years to find a decent photography book that would interest me and tech me the basics I may not have enough time to read it quickly and actually practice photography to the extent I would like, but this book is a keeper This is probably the only book to be traveling with me wherever I go.

    I believe that this is the best book out there about photography as it covers every aspect from aperture to flash usage, from film to digital and is written in a way that even a newbie will understand the concepts.I read it once but I keep coming back to read some chapters again and again.It s a reference.

    If you know nothing about photography, this is the book you should read, if you know a little, this is a book your should read, if you know a lot, then this would be a good reference.
