Informative meticulously researched and well structured and well written I carried this book around everywhere as a child back when I loved and studied herpetology to the point of obsessionThere are two parts to the book the one of amphibians and the one of reptiles Each section has loads of entries of different species on which 2 8 pages are dedicated each filled with pictures diagrams habitats diets breeding endangerment statuses and other interesting facts The sections also have a kind of prologue in which the author expands on the anatomies behaviours and taxonomical branches of amphibians and reptilesThe end has a 2 page glossary for various terms in zoology and herpetology for example the estuarine which is living in the lower part of a river estuary where fresh water meets and mixes with seawater
