    Only three stars for this Adizes tome on corporate life cycles I enjoyed his theory and systematic approach to the different stages of a company s life through courtship and infancy to what he calls the final decline Salem City and finally death Even part two where he describes the four factors or management roles in organizations paei and how those four factors intersect and work together was interesting What became tedious was how he threw these Ps and Es and Is and As at me in every sen Only three stars for this Adizes tome on corporate life cycles I enjoyed his theory and systematic approach to the different stages of a company s life through courtship and infancy to what he calls the final decline Salem City and finally death Even part two where he describes the four factors or management roles in organizations paei and how those four factors intersect and work together was interesting What became tedious was how he threw these Ps and Es and Is and As at me in every sentence almost like a baseball I felt like I needed to keep ducking from the balls to keep from getting hit on the head and going brain dead His writing style and delivery had the feel of a demanding lecturer This book isn t as prescriptive as you might be led to believe but the case studies in Part IV were fascinating He is, after all, selling his services to companies large and small Appendix B just gets weird as he delves into the spiritual side of life This is one man s business conceptand that is all Now I must go rest my brain before I lose all my Ps and Qs
