I enjoyed this novel about a young woman named Bobbi, who has good intentions to help her family by trying to fix her family s off kilter dynamics She sets her own dreams aside while pursuing a golf career in an attempt to please her father She stumbles into a romance that distracts her from her goal, and tries to figure out what she truly wants in life I think Bobbi s relationship with God and how she learned to trust Him enough to pray and guide her life was treated well it didn t feel hea I enjoyed this novel about a young woman named Bobbi, who has good intentions to help her family by trying to fix her family s off kilter dynamics She sets her own dreams aside while pursuing a golf career in an attempt to please her father She stumbles into a romance that distracts her from her goal, and tries to figure out what she truly wants in life I think Bobbi s relationship with God and how she learned to trust Him enough to pray and guide her life was treated well it didn t feel heavy handed or forced The inspirational aspects were nicely sprinkled in, not saturated There was also just enough golf details to make the setting real, but not be boring or confusing to a non golfer such as myself A pleasant yet thoughtful read

I enjoyed this book so much The heroine is not always likeable because she is so very real I empathized a lot with her and I also loved the hero In fact, I wasn t always sure who the hero would be and I enjoyed that this book wasn t completely predictable and yet retained the romance that I love to see in a book But it also explores what it means to be family and even , imperfect human beings I can t wait to readbooks by Terri Tiffany

This is the story of several people trying to answer that question It s set against the background of the pro golf world, although if you re not a fan, it s minimal, so don t worry you ll enjoy it anyway I was rooting for and identified with the twins, who at around age 20 were grappling with finding themselves and starting a life, as opposed to duty to family which worked against their self interest With a narcissistic father and a weak mother, Bobbi and her brother are challenged to find This is the story of several people trying to answer that question It s set against the background of the pro golf world, although if you re not a fan, it s minimal, so don t worry you ll enjoy it anyway I was rooting for and identified with the twins, who at around age 20 were grappling with finding themselves and starting a life, as opposed to duty to family which worked against their self interest With a narcissistic father and a weak mother, Bobbi and her brother are challenged to find their path, a relatable story for many readers I liked how Bobbi was real she was slightly awkward in the mens world of pro golf, but self assured enough to keep fighting forward A satisfying read

I was delighted by Terri Tiffany s debut novel The Mulligan Being someone with not an ounce of interest in anything sport related, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed this golf themed novel The golfing aspect is really just one of the stages for the characters to play out their stories.Family loyalty, misguided sacrifice, shattered dreams, and out of proportion guilt spur on Bobbi with an i to set aside her true passion and follow the course set out for her twin brother as I was delighted by Terri Tiffany s debut novel The Mulligan Being someone with not an ounce of interest in anything sport related, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed this golf themed novel The golfing aspect is really just one of the stages for the characters to play out their stories.Family loyalty, misguided sacrifice, shattered dreams, and out of proportion guilt spur on Bobbi with an i to set aside her true passion and follow the course set out for her twin brother as a career golf pro The only person happy with her decision is her self absorbed father, who wrote the handbook on how not to be a parent and husband The Mulligan is not an easy book to label It is not a romance, as such, but there is definitely a love story unfolding It isn t a family saga, although her dysfunctional family is the reason why Bobbi ends up in Orlando hitting golf balls The Christian thread is definitely there, but it is handled with a wonderfully delicate touch No altar calls No unconvincing conversations full of scripture No sudden conversion experience Instead, it is a gentle awakening that is never hammered home or pushed This makes The Mulligan a perfect inspirational novel, suitable for just about any reader. The only slight negative was that the ending felt all a bit too neat everything wrapped up in a perfect way I won t say anybecause I don t want to spoil the story, and to be honest, I really liked the ending, but one character s personality seemed to change a little too dramatically Having said that, I still finished the book with a smile on my face and a desire to readby Terri in the future.Best praise I can give is that if this manuscript had landed on my desk first, I would have published it without hesitation Highly recommended as a quick, enjoyable book for fans of light inspirational fiction with a romantic thread Female golf fans should absolutely love it
