A good readEnthraĺing story but the 'twist' in the tale is obvious about half way through The ending is a bit abrupt

I really loved this book It's a ghost story but with plenty of twists that you won't expect Also it focuses on the everyday things that happen to a group of people who happen to live in a haunted street One of the characters is a dad who is having relationship problems with the mother of his little baby girl; another is a young boy who is going through the agonies of adolescence These characters are really well drawn and engrossing enough even without the supernatural element The ghostly parts are good too though especially at the start where it's extremely chilling in a subtle kind of way the part where the guy hears voices coming from his kid's nursery is very unnerving If I had to make a criticism it would be that one or two of the mysteries are left unanswered but I'm hoping that's because there's going to be a Part Two

Loved this book Totally not the usual ghost book The characters drew you in and you were left not knowing what was happening until near the end Local author and I liked the fact that he used the names of UK celebrities and programmes in it tooThoroughly good book and would recommend it to anyone

  5. says:

Interesting twist on a ghost story I was immediately hooked but then found it slowed down during the middle and became rather laborious It picked up again almost as if the author had decided where the story was going to go
