    this is an enjoyable collection of four relatively short essays, one each about Barcelona, Toledo, Madrid and Sevilla I enjoyed reading the essays before and after my visits to Madrid, Barcelona and Toledo I have not yet been to Sevilla The author has an interesting perspective which I do not always agree with but that I can understand I enjoyed his insights particularly his asides, his griping about walking uphill and his focus on the people in each city I think this is a great book if you this is an enjoyable collection of four relatively short essays, one each about Barcelona, Toledo, Madrid and Sevilla I enjoyed reading the essays before and after my visits to Madrid, Barcelona and Toledo I have not yet been to Sevilla The author has an interesting perspective which I do not always agree with but that I can understand I enjoyed his insights particularly his asides, his griping about walking uphill and his focus on the people in each city I think this is a great book if you plan to visit or have visited Spain and in particular the four cities discussed in the book
