    I like this book because it follows changing American religion not just American christianity as most people will do Though there is a large focus on christianity because the majority of the population is christian judaism buddhism and islam are all covered either as part of factors that are changing American religion or as religions being changed or both The book takes in to account social political religious and academic factors as agents of change and expands on each thoroughly
