summary This book is about a little girl who each morning when she wakes up goes to her parents bed and asks how many feet are in the bed? Throughout the book each family member joins on the bed and the little girl who is the narrator counts how many feet each time Then one by one the family members leave the bed for a different reason and she counts how many are left after one person leaves The bed eventually just has her They author then ends it in a cute way Personal opinon I enjoyed this book It was a cute little story of a family who loved being together The book shows the love of a family It was a short book and most of it was counting and numbers but it was meaningful The illustrations were also really well drawn Classroom use I would definitely use this in a classroom I think that there are many benefits to having books like this It does only reach out to younger audiences I don't think that second and third graders would enjoy this as much as kindergarteners The book is interactive and I think the students could follow along and enjoy it

This is a cute book that talks about people in the bed and how many feet are in the bed as a result This can be used to introduce counting by twos up to ten and back down to zero The illustrations are good and tie well with the words

This book is super cute it would go great in a classroom lesson plan for working on counting you could also even print out feet and have the children reenact the story

This book shows a family on an early morning It counts the amount of feet as the family members come join the rest of the family in the parent's bed Eventually the family members leave the bed and it then counts how many feet are left in the bed then This book deals with math because it continuously adds feet It gets students thinking about pairs since feet come in pairs The feet are added until the family members start leaving the bed for various reasons then the feet begin subtracting The students could do a lesson with this book about pairs of feet The students could even guess before the book begins how many feet they think will be in the bed They could draw a picture of their prediction This will get them to perhaps begin counting in pairs since they will have to think about how many pairs of feet will be in the bed I would use this book with younger grades such as Pre K Kindergarten and perhaps 1st

This is a really cute book for very young readers It would be a fun book to read with an adult This can be an interactive book and can work on simple addition and subtraction at the same time A little girl goes to wake up her father and gets in the bed They now have four feet in the bed Then younger siblings and eventually Mom start joining them in bed Then they count; two four six eight ten feet in the bed Each page adds feet until one gets hungry the phone rings and so on until there are only two feet left in the bed Ten eight six four only two feet are left in the bed

This is a book I really enjoy because it is great for incorporating in a math lesson As the bed has people sitting in it students can record the data into a T chart Students will notice that as the amount of people in the bed decrease the number of feet in the bed decreases by a specific amount Students can expand and thing of a multiplication formula for the amount of feet in the bed

Excellent book to teach children simple multiplication First there were two feet When another person is added to the bed two feet are added Children will recognize the pattern of adding two each time or multiplying by two

This book is about developing an understanding of how to count by twos A lesson on graphing could also follow the reading of this book The students could make a tee chart comparing the number of people in the bed to the amount of feet in the bedRecommended grade level P 2
