I have another Pioneer Woman cookbook that I LOVE Dinnertime I return to DInnertime again and again and some of those recipes have become family favorites So I thought that I would also try Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl since it got good reviews It actually made me angry It's awful and if I had Prime I would return it It's awful because it's not a cookbook It's an autobiography with far too many photos I don't need to see her husband's butt in chaps nor do I need to see photos of her children on every other page One of the most difficult things about Rhee's cookbooks is that it takes her 2 3 pages for every recipe In Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl it actually takes her three pages for mashed potatoes And of the few recipes that are in the book there are less than a handful that I would bother with because they are so basic we all have favorite versions of these things anyway like pico de gallo I did make the meatloaf basically it is draped with bacon and is okay but nothing exciting Then I turned back to Dinnertime and realized that she had the same recipe there as well except that in Dinnertime she used pancetta and called it Italian meatloaf I didn't like either one Buy Dinnertime and skip Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl

Don't mess with Ree Drummond She hooked me with chicken spaghetti She won me over with her cinnamon rolls I can truthfully say that I have never ever had a bad experience with her recipes

I can honestly say I love this cookbook and the recipes are good I've wanted to buy her book for some time now wondering what is all the hype aboutLol Now I know the Pioneer Woman has written an adorable realistic simple well put together cookbook Cute stories of her home life and yummy recipes I've made several so I could give an honest review of the recipes in this book The cinnamon rolls we're very good for breakfast love them The lasagna was nice large uantity but tasty And her chocolate sheet cake was soooooo moist and yummy for dessert Some of her recipes make a lot but I always check the uantity of the recipes I cook so not a problem And I much prefer a cookbook on my counter top as to a tablet scrolling her blog for the recipe I don't understand why others are rating based off of what's on her blog that's been copied to the bookisn't that the point of a cookBOOK Not a cookbloglol And to the complaints about too many pictures Sure there are a lot but that's how she chose to lay out her cookbook great references through every step I have been cooking for years so no I don't actually need so many photos when I cook I actually prefer none because following a recipe and looking back and forth at photos to follow can get a bit hectic in the kitchen but that's OK A change up is good amongst my books Anyways I'm so glad to own this book I adore it And I cannot wait to buy the rest of her cookbooks😍😍😍

I've owned this book for years now It's been a great addition to my sizable and continuously growing cookbook collection After having great success with several of its recipes I even purchased a copy for mother in law for Christmas several years agoLet me preface that none of these recipes are particularly healthy so if that's what you're looking for walk on from here These are however delicious home cooking style recipes with easy to find ingredients and tons too many photographs of the finished dishes the steps in between and general life on the farmThe BB Jalapeño Poppers are wonderful I like them even better when I cook and chop the bacon before hand to mix into the cheesy jalapeño stuffing as it's less greasy and the bacon is crispier Likewise the Potato Leek Pizza while lots of work is well worth the effort and the Comfort Meatballs have provided lots of comfort every time we make themThis cookbook is recommended for beginning to intermediate cooks looking for cuisine that can be enjoyed by the whole family on weekends and weeknights

I like Rae and watch her TV series Be warned that she is a big consumer of convenience items ready made BB sauce for instance and some items aren't easily found in the UK My son in law is a Texan and Rae's recipes have helped me understand his particular taste buds; a bit of a stranger to vegetablessalad
